Michael's Modellers Mucking About
Re: Michael's Modellers Mucking About
Hello Shawn,
Hope you have a good "green" thumb and have time to post a few build pic in your workbench window soon.. Also you had a very good holidays??
I have a Porter Cable compressor from my mobile bike shop days.... Any idea what fitting/adapter and or hose need to run a air brush?
As i kid it remember having a Testors's Atezk airbrush on canned air. I do not think i develop skill or talent with it. I hand brush everything expect
when i have one solid colour i get a rattle can of tamiya spray paint. My welcome thread has some photos of my recent (it just stated up again a few
months ago) builds and the paint and supplies i have collected so far. Some with the help of my friend Migrant. Very good mentor to have. He build in
competition winning category! As a young boy/teenage I would build Revell kits and use Testor paints. That all my small town of Peace River, Alberta
had! Migrant gave me a Airfix Spitfire and other kits and got a NASCAR car of kijiji free and I was hooked again....
Look forward to seeing some gardening and model pictures....

Better get ready for cooking class. The Alex food center does a International cooking where we cook and share our family recipes.
I hope to do the zero's decals today. I bought some white and light blue background paper and batteries for my camera. I will try to take some good photo to
post....

Nice one Michael. You are in the groove.
I would do the dull coat prior to removing the masking on the glass. Less risk in fogging.

Re: Michael's Modellers Mucking About
Thanks Jeff, I took my time and bought 24 alligator clips for detail painting/assembly.jssel wrote:Nice one Michael. You are in the grove
I also got my camera out and bought some paper for the pictures. I just need a photo booth and lights.
I could do a single thread in aviation if I wanted to? For the finished model?
Re: Michael's Modellers Mucking About
Ooops I just matt it without the mask Shoot!
I FORGOT!
I FORGOT!
Re: Michael's Modellers Mucking About
Good idea about the Aviation Thread. One or two of the finished model.

Re: Michael's Modellers Mucking About
I started with building the wheels and attaching to the die cast hull:
Build the driver sight and exhaust:
I did not add the tracks or glue the panels that close off the screw access. I plan to spray paint the tank body sand and maybe the Mark 2
nato black camo then paint the tires black and add the tracks then reattach the body to the hull and add the side skirting (pre-painted) then the
decals.
I build the extra fuel tank, gunner turret and storage bins:
I build the main turret with Mark 2 gun mount:
I have left the small parts that are to be painted another colour than the camo colour. Like the string "tow cable" and the shovel and tracks.
I am going to let every set and then check tomorrow the tank is ready to spray Tamiya Sand and wheather I am going to "silly putty or blue tac" mask
for the Mark 2 Nato black camo or leave it just Sand camo and decal

Great progress Michael. I have the Panther but not sure when I will build it.

Re: Michael's Modellers Mucking About
Thanks Jeff, It took me a few days to get to this build. What are you working on right now Jeff?
I choose a tank as i have done manly airplane builds recently, maybe you be inspired to do the Panther next?
