It's coming on well, Michael. I admit that I also just use the painting instructions as a guide for the camo, most of my camouflaged models are near-ish but certainly not totally 100%, I don't tend to get hung up on complete accuracy, I'm a bit of a lazy boy really

Coming along well now Michael and a definite improvement from the first attempt.

Just a thought but have you considered using acrylic paint? They tend to be a little more forgiving if things turn out less than perfect, and are a lot easier to deal with for clean up, mixing/thinning etc., plus (and this is the biggie ), they dry quickly! I typically re-coat in 15 minutes, sometimes less. Nothing wrong with enamels of course, but it might save you having to clock watch so much!

Iggie, migrant suggested Tamiya acrylics do not brush paint well. I bought a lot of Testor and humbrol enamels so I am stuck for now. Until I buy a air brush....

That's coming along rather nicely, Michael. I have a 1/48 Carousel die cast model of Greg Boyington's P-40 when he was in the Flying Tigers. Your build's scheme is looking good and close to my production models.

Nicely done, Michael, I would say that this version looks better than the previous one. I've been seeing to my bicycle chain today with wet lube, somehow I always end up with as much lube on me as on the chain

Yes, I've got to learn to be more sparing with it! I've only recently returned to cycling after a good few years away so although I'm experienced with models and more or less know what I'm doing, it's not the same story with bicycles!!

I had a few photos of the air museum on my computer, thought I would upload these....

I put on a coat of Humbrol gloss clear: It is thicker than Klear or Tamiya spray clear. So hard to get brush strokes.

Think i am finally (haha) ready for decals....should I try my tamiya (brown) panel lines....







I think i am going to use the green acrylic for the canopy lines and try to clean it up with a sharpened sprue. It came in the kit.
