Thanks Migrant for Mike Grant's Decals for this cool Mustang! This may be my next build once my Zero is finished or the Ju-52 Where Eagles Dare!
I want do this plane in option two the Swiss theme. I think the red cross is cool. I want to do a 109 in yellow nose and tail theme one day.
Owen from his youtube Quickkit airfix suggest hand brushing the effect mottling to do the base coat dry then apply a little thinner then stipple
camo colour and blend with q-tip. Any suggest how to hand paint this camo. I might have cut snake decal in 2 or 3?
Mirgrant build this kit and suggest painting the inside black so when looking into the camera lens you see black not mold colour.
I want do this build in the movie theme Where Eagle Dare. Migrant is going to print the decals off screenshots ***This build did not go well and stop the build***
Thanks Again Migrant for this cool kit!
I bought these two Revell kits at Michael's before got me a Airfix Spitfire (desert camo) from Migrant. I bought the movie of Where Eagle Dare and
PT-109 on ITunes.
Migrant say this plane is a tail sitter and need nose weight. He also gave some modelling magazines one article featuring the Black widow.
Thanks Migrant for this great kit. Need to practice a lot to do this kit

Another addition to my stash: A Spitfire (hopefully in the Battle of Britain time period?) and Kubelwagen (I saw one the Luftwaffe general ride in one in
movie Battle of Britain).
You can barely see one on the left side of this movie still.

Mike G just gave this kit for my stash! Thanks, Mike!
Also Where Eagles Dare decals for my Airfix 1:72 scale Ju-52 may be easier to build than a 1;144 scale.

It is always nice the get an interesting kit from a friend. I have not done any mottling painting which scares me a bit? I guess I need to practice!
Migrant told forward a tip he saw on this forum: To use Tamiya weathering kit and a sponge brush to do the mottling effect?
Any advice to do the mottling effect, Jeff?

Michael, it is a good job the extensively modified Percival Proctor wasn't actually used in the film Battle of Britain, it would have been a challenge to find and modify a kit, I think. I was doing a gliding course at RAF Bovingdon and I remember sering all the Buchons, the Spitfires and Hurricanes lined-up on the runway. After being launched and looking down the CASA 111's became visible in the dispersals around the airfield.
On another occassion the Mosquitos for '633 Sqn' were in the hanger.

Hi TeeELL,
I am sorry, forgive my lack of knowledge of planes and history. Am I not sure I understand your post?
I am not familiar with a "Percival Proctor". I bought an Airfix Spit MK1A which (i post a picture in my stash thread
window) I thought was the variant of spitfire that was used in the time period of Battle of Britain? Not sure what was
used to film the movie of the same name? If i understand you, you were a pilot. Not familiar with Buchons. I have
seen the movie 633 Sqn, I think I have it on iTunes. Migrant did a model of a Mosquitos in the comic strip "TinTin"
theme.
Thanks for sharing your flying history with me! Thank You for your service!

Michael,
Fair enough, the Percival Proctor is/was a British aircraft from the 40's, it was thought to resemble a Stuka sufficiently to be modified with a 'cranked wing' to fly as a 'Stuka'. The UK Civil Aviation Authority though otherwise. The 'Buchon' was the Spanish, Merlin powered Me109 used in the film BoB, the CASA111 being a Spanish version of the He111 that was also used. I would have to research the Spitfires used, but back then there were far fewer Spitfires around for film work. BoB mustered 12 (I think) of all types 6 of which were flyable. Many were marks of Spitfire that were post BoB.
As for me, well yes, I was a pilot in the RAF for 37 years. I flew Vulcans, Canberras (In USA they were built under licence as B57's), Phantom F4, and Hawk.
