Hello there. I just joined the Unofficial Airfix Modellers' Forum, so part of the models presented here are already partially build.
I am currently working on a 1/72 Lavochkin La-5 from the Russian company VES.
Image
According to the kit database Scalemates the kit dates from the nineties. I have no pictures of the sprues before building, but the parts came in a well detailed black plastic. Like all Russian kist of that period a lot of care is needed during construction, but the result is worth the try.

Decals came from an AML sheet dedicated to the La-5.
I paint my models with Tamiya spray paints.
Weathering was done with black oil paint washes and oil streaks are pigments.
I tried to obtain the winter scheme using water based paint for the white wash ( the same paint children use to paint at school ), but the result is rather "dirty" than "camouflage".
I am busy masking the cockpit, once painted and added the propeler needs to be attached and the model will be finished.

A second model I am working on is the KP Avia BH-3.

The model is finished as far as construction is concerned, and is in the painting stage.

Not an easy model; one fuselage half is higher than the other and a lot of care is needed to attach the wings. All this means filling, sanding, filling, sanding... during a few weeks...

Welcome to the forum, Guldan and you have a nice busy workbench there with some interesting builds - the La-5 with its worn looking winter camouflage looks good.

Thank you for the nice comments.
The LA-5 finished there was place on the table to start another model. I found this one in my stash :
Image
According to the Scalemates-database the kit dates from 1977 ( the "black"-boxart dates from 1979 ).
I started this model many years ago, painting the inside of the cockpit some kind of apple green ( Heller calls it "nile green" ), making the interior of the fuselage halves look like a toy.
The paint was removed with oven cleaner.
During a tour on an IPMS meeting I found on obscure Russian resin detail set for the kit. No text or drawings, juste resin parts.
First thing to do is to identify each part. I could find the wheel wells, cockpit, radio compartment, cockpit door plus a few parts I couldn't identify.
Image
Heller moulded the compartment behind the cockpit as part of the hull. This has to be opened ( it houses the radio ). I also cut out the right door as a replacement is provided in the detail set.

From what I can see the resin set will add nicely to this build, Guldan.
