Nice space!
Re: Ned's Mancave!
As this thread is in the workbench area, I thought I'd add on my first build in a very long time. I was going to start with a JU-52, but I thought I'd do something a little smaller to start with to get back in the groove so to speak. I was up at RAF Cosford a few weeks ago and saw a version of this aircraft and thought it would be a cool model to start with. So without further ado,
It's a really nice kit and is going together very easily and nicely. I'm hoping to get the cockpit done today, but as I'm planning to do the flying version, I've got to paint a pilot. (Can't get away from figures somehow!) If I have one complaint about the box is the fact that it doesn't come with figures. As stated I have a pilot, but will have to think something up for a gunner! Hope y'all enjoy the build.

Awesome looking work space. I'm a former Northern VA resident and past & current 'skins fan. Nice to see the Old Dominion represented here.
Finish some of those completed minis! Looks like there's some cool stuff waiting for paint.

That is indeed a great looking workspace, Ned. What is a mini? I thought it was a car and/or a short skirt!

Great looking workspace.

Re: Ned's Mancave!
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I have been busy both with work and the model. I'm not a big photo taker but here's where the Defiant is at the moment.
Got the gun turret sorted
And got the main body sorted as well.
I need to do some touchup work on the paint before adding the decals, but seeing as this is my first aircraft model for about 15 years I am well pleased with how it is looking so far.
Oh and does anyone know what color smoke a WW2 RAF ASR smoke bomb was?

Re: Ned's Mancave!
I don't think I've ever seen a better Defiant turret.
Is it my imagination or is the gunner pounding on it to get out?

Nice workspace you have there Ned. The Defiant is coming along nicely. I have this in the stash and it does look like a nice kit. You'd think they would include a gunner though.
