Corricon's Workbench Window 2017

Models on the bench at present, excluding the 1/76 Airfix Lee/Grant conversion to a M31 TRV, include the following:
A 1/76 scale Airfix Bedford MK in RAF Livery, which by the way is almost complete as all it needs is some matt varnish over the decals, some highlighting of parts and a light weathering:
I also have a 1/76 Airfix Bedford QL Refueller kit bash, which is still in need of decals, final parts, glazing, highlighting etc:
There is also a 1/76 Airfix/ Matador Models Matador Refueller underway as well:
In 1/48 scale I have a Bedford (bit of a theme going here) MWD that will be made up into a RAF type also. This one will have after market figures as driver and passengers, the driver's body is shown here in the first picture:

Excellent stuff. It's great to see some military vehicle building going on - quality builds too, that Bedford is a corker.

Had some kind remarks on another site that if it was photo shopped into a picture it would look real, so I found a backdrop and took another photo:
doesn't look too bad in my opinion

That Bedford is really nice. Must remember the cotton bud tip for the indicators.

As the Bedford has now gone from the bench I decided to have yet another go at the Airfix Cromwell. This time however I thought I'd use a stowage set from SandS Models and also add some HAT British Tanks Riders. After a couple of hours or so I had this:
This is now aside drying before I take a brush to it.

This looks promising Corricon. I like the Cromwell as a subject but as yet have only built the Tamiya kit in 1/35th and have yet to try the smaller scale Airfix effort - by all accounts it is a very good kit.

I like it, this is my fifth version and is certainly very nice to build.
It has a very novel track (its made of one piece of plastic the same as the rest of the kit, but is still slightly springy) although there is a seam completely around the circumference that is a devil of a job to get rid of.

That Bedford does indeed look good with that background.
That Cromwell will look good under paint. I REALLY should build some more small-scale Armour.
