A little more work done today whilst again waiting for a build for another site to dry.
Today saw the 101 Landrover get some paint on the inside:



The Bedford QLR now has its glazing fitted:



All the glazing has been cut from an old clear plastic carton as I seem to have misplaced the originals.
Lastly the Saladin received it's side lamps and indicators:

Excellent work as always from you, Corricon. I like the ventilation system in the Bedford - just open the windscreen windows! Nice to see that Forward Control Landy too.

Another day where there was chance to do some building so I started this one:



A couple of hours or so saw me in this position:



The hull top and turret are only dry fitted at this stage. Next up are the tracks!

Wow, you're building at a fair old rate, Corricon. All interesting vehicles as far as I'm concerned. I built the 1/35th version of the Revell Panzerhaubitze a few years ago, which was a very enjoyable build and it has made for an impressive model - the gun barrel length is quite considerable in the larger scale!

Yes Shaun, there is a reason for all the building. I have a Leopard in the wings to start too. The reason was to get all the painting done together as the Bradley, Panzer and Leopard all have the European three colour camo scheme. The 101 is there as a quick build to keep the Mojo going between all these builds and seems to be working at present. I also have another agenda in that I would like to beat my all time yearly build record of 44 this year. Presently I have completed 40 so not too far away!

44 builds of that quality in one year? Hugely impressive!

Forty-four is darn good innings. I could barely manage even half of that, both oob's and rebuilds/resto's. If I can get even a couple more off the worktable I still won't beat last year. And I dig the use of clear carton plastic for windscreens, especially Braille Scale subjects. Looks way more to scale too.

Still aiming to get to 44+ so I have started this one:

I also managed to get the tracks on the Panzerhaubitz 2000, along with the rest of the build, minus the smaller details, so it's now ready for some paint:

Your motorpool is filling up rapidly! I'm very interested to see what you do with the Panzerhaubitze

Only ever built the Airfix Matador and Quad with 5.5 inch and 25 pounder respectively - never saw the attraction in vehicles until seeing these - excellent work :-)

44 builds in one year?!? it would take me around 10 of my average modelling years to match that!! These are quality builds too, which makes such a tally even more impressive - I know modelling isn't just about amassing large build totals but even so.....

I've built a couple of small scale Revell Leopards and found them to be excellent kits. Best of luck bettering your total, Steve.

Moving along with the Leopard. I have now got the tracks fitted and all of the running gear and tracks painted ready for the side armour to be fitted:



Have also got the running gear and tracks painted on the Panzerhaubitz and the Bradley too, ready for their side armour:

Excellent work! That's an ambitious goal, but looks like you're going to well surpass it at this rate.

Also, you could count the Landrover and trailer as two separate models to boost the numbers!

Spent some time this morning adding most of the detail parts to the Bedford QLR:



Just some final painting and touching in will be needed now along with some aerials.
