Not much progress on the tank lately, but I made a start on the crew. I glued the arms into place, added some filler and sanded the edges when it was dry. After a coat of Halfords plastic primer, I undercoated them with Tamiya Khaki with a touch of RAF green. The flesh was painted with Vallejo ModelColor Dark Flesh.

Time now to break out the quality paint brushes and start the main painting with Humbrol enamels.

As for the Greyhound, I started on its crew as well. Although its hard to tell, they have been undercoated in Tamiya Buff.

This is the set I'm using for the Greyhound:

Thanks Shaun.
Finally started painting the Centurion.
I pre-shaded everything with thinned Tamiya flat black. Then sprayed the main colour, using Vallejo IDF Sinai Grey '82 and added highlights by mixing some white into the main colour.

The tyres were glued in place and the wheels added as well.

Gotta say, I do like the Vallejo Sinai grey 82.

IDF armour colour is another minefield like olive drab or dunkelgelb.
I've seen a boat load of paint mixes on various forums, but this seems as good as any.

I had also primed the side skirts, but when it came to spraying them I realised I'd primed the inner face of the left hand side skirts and not the outer face!!!

Oh man that is a really great paint job, Paddy. The blooper re the side skirts sounds like something I'd do!

Thanks guys.

Tracks and side skirts finally added - Now it looks like a centuron. I also added the jerry cans, fire extinguishers, turret hatches and stretcher.
All detail painting and modulation was finished. The modulation looks a bit extreme right now but the filter coat will tone it down.
Image

Pioneer tools and tow cables painted and still to be weathered. Pretty tricky to paint these in situ!
Image

The contents of the turret basket were painted and highlighted. They still need a wash to add the deep shadows and really make them stand out.
Image

The last of the stowage has been base coated.

Next is a gloss coat and decals.

Thanks for looking in gents. :)
A bit more progress. It got a gloss coat and the decals were added. Next it got a light sand filter wash followed by a dark brown pin wash. Then tonight it got a dull coat using Winsor & Newton Galleria matt varnish.

The stowage looks a bit better with a wash and a matt coat:

Chipping was kept to a bare minimum and only applied lightly to the ERA blocks and front fenders.

I have some oil paint streaking, metalizing and pigments to do and then thats it!!!

That’s not a model. That’s a work of art.

Utterly stunning.
