Finally got the Brengun A-36 to the point that it's ready for paint. Seemed like this one fought every step of the way. It's an interesting plane, and I'm surprised with all the attention to P-51's that there hasn't been more attention to the dive-bomber version by model companies.

The struts/wheels, prop and bombs have been primed separately.

Nicely masked cockpit glazing. Wish mine were as neat.

Thanks, but I cheated and used a mask for it.

Was really worth it. Very easy to use. We’ll see how it worked out.

Well, the A-36 Apache is finally in the home stretch. Just got the decals on and coated with some setting solution.

Just a few details to pick out, the a dull coat, and some light weathering, and it'll finally be done. This one fought me on every step, to the point that early issues would rear their ugly head while dealing with later issues (such as the instrument panel coming lose, while attaching the resin intake).

That looks spot on; the dive brakes really add to the build
Best wishes

Nice one, Mig and it is a bit of a shame that the A-36 hasn't garnered more interest from the kit industry.

Beautiful Apache. Your Spit turned out very nice as well. I like the clipped wings.

Thanks, Iggie. I have to admit, it turned out better than I thought it would. Especially, around the wings, which needed a lot of work.

Thanks. I couldn't agree more about a BIG kit company making an Apache kit. Other than this one, I think they only other choice is an old Condor kit.

Thanks! I like the look of the clipped wing Spits too, but they don't seem to get as much love.

Not much progress on the WIPs on the bench. I did get the Matchbox Sd Kfz 231 painted. I think the "panzer grey" is too dark, but I"m not going to change it, so it is what it is. I also started painting the figures that came with it, but I've only done flesh at the moment. Here's where things stand for the moment.

Good eye. He’s from another set and I figured I’d try to get 3 birds with one brush.

Nicely done, Mig, I like the look of that - perhaps try a bit of dry brushing with lighter shades of grey if you're not happy and there is always the mud option as well, with it being a military vehicle build

The Matchbox kit is mostly complete. Still need to finish the figures to round out the vignette.

I think I'm happier with the background scene, than the vehicle, but it has been a fun little project to work on. Now, I'll need to keep my eye out for more of these ones for the stash.

Lovely little diorama and that A-36 is very nice indeed.
