Re: Celts cave
Good to see you building again. The Corsair looks pretty sharp.
The vengeance is nicely built too. God, what a weird and wonderful looking craft.
Your paint finishes are starting to look really smooth. Your technique is really evolving.
Very sorry to hear about your wife.

Re: Celts cave
Great work on both Celt, the matt finish on the Corsair seems to suck light into it it's so flat! Excellent!
Best wishes
Jim

Re: Celts cave
I like the pair of them, Celt, they are both very well finished and it's good to see you back building. Very sorry to hear of your wife's worsening condition.

Re: Celts cave
What a lovely pair of models Celt: two old birds but that is not at all apparent from the photos. Excellent finish too especially with the hairy stick. I find that if you water acryllics down until they have the consistency of milk and then apply several coats, a very even a smooth finish can be relatively easily achieved.

Hi Lone Modeller,I place a couple of ball bearings in the pot together with a drop of flow enhancer and give them a good shake and they seem to work fine.Lone Modeller wrote:What a lovely pair of models Celt: two old birds but that is not at all apparent from the photos. That looks very neat and tidy, and the canopy frames work really well

Re: Celts cave
Super stuff, those Frog kits turn into perfectly acceptable renditions of, sometimes, quite unusual aircraft.

Nice to see somebody enjoying these old kits the way they were meant to be. Great work on all of them Celt.
