I have not posted any work for awhile due to wifes illness,so I shall start afresh here.I am currently working on a Cosair and Vengeance,both Frog kits.Pics to follow shortly.

Here are the pics,both models are painted with a hairy stick and Humbrol acrylics and Velljo varnish were used.The canopies are done with a black Sharpie because I only have a limited amount of time(since my wife's worsening condition) and masking takes up a lot of said time.

Terrific work, Celt. The Vengeance camo looks fantastic.

The vengeance is nicely built too. God, what a weird and wonderful looking craft.

Your paint finishes are starting to look really smooth. Your technique is really evolving.

Great work on both Celt, the matt finish on the Corsair seems to suck light into it it's so flat! Excellent!

Hi, PTB11,Softscience,iggie and ShaunW,thanks for the kind words,a lot has happened these last few weeks none of it good,but it was nice to be able to find time to mess about with bits of plastic again.

What a lovely pair of models Celt: two old birds but that is not at all apparent from the photos. Excellent finish too especially with the hairy stick. I find that if you water acryllics down until they have the consistency of milk and then apply several coats, a very even a smooth finish can be relatively easily achieved.

Hi Lone Modeller,I place a couple of ball bearings in the pot together with a drop of flow enhancer and give them a good shake and they seem to work fine.

Here is my latest stab at gluing and painting bits of plastic.All paint is daubed on with a hairy stick.The canopy is done by sharpie not the right colour but no time to mask.

Super stuff, those Frog kits turn into perfectly acceptable renditions of, sometimes, quite unusual aircraft.
