Hello UMAF,

I have a Porter Cable compressor from my mobile bike shop days.... Any idea what fitting/adapter and or hose need to run a air brush?

As i kid it remember having a Testors's Atezk airbrush on canned air. I do not think i develop skill or talent with it. I hand brush everything expect

when i have one solid colour i get a rattle can of tamiya spray paint. My welcome thread has some photos of my recent (it just stated up again a few

months ago) builds and the paint and supplies i have collected so far. Some with the help of my friend Migrant. Very good mentor to have. He build in

competition winning category! As a young boy/teenage I would build Revell kits and use Testor paints. That all my small town of Peace River, Alberta

had! Migrant gave me a Airfix Spitfire and other kits and got a NASCAR car of kijiji free and I was hooked again....

Look forward to seeing some of your model pictures....

I add some glue, paint and nail set/sanding boards. Also found a good pair of reading glass +1.50 at value village (better than dollor store ones)

Also add two kits to my stash:

I bought some supplies for a couple new kits to my stash:

Image

Dark yellow for Kubelwagen

Image

Flat white and Light Blue (Luftwaffe) for my next try at a Where Eagle Dare Ju-52

Image

I used up my first cans up trying to do the "Last Day of Stalingrad" diorama after messing up my first 1/144 build

Image

This is what i am attempting to build:

It did not go well. Someone suggest a "Last Day of Stalinggrad" theme. I try to do a snow-covered Ju-52 that crashed or was damaged in battle in the

last days of Stalingrad

For your basic colours like flat white, and flat black, you might want to try generic brands. They work out a lot cheaper

Thanks for the suggestion Nigel. I'll remember that for basic colour but for specific colour I think the extra money is worth it for the Tamiya brand.

I started up modeling again since I was a kid, I always used Testor brand paint in my small town many because that is all there was.

I bought a number of Testor enamels to start up the hobby again and was going to buy all my paint in Testors.

Then I found Humbrol and Tamiya spray cans better for hand painting than Testors.

Migrant suggested to buy Tamiya instead of the Testors I start out using as a kid and started to use again.

I start to volunteer at Two Wheel View as a Bicycle Tech. I enjoy it, I took courses and self taught.

It will dig into my modelling time.....

Easy there, fella.

It's just a fun little thing that changes as you post more and more. It is not a commentary on your abilities as a model builder. Don't get too hung up on it.

So the phrase "Modelling Gent and Scholar" has no relation to there abilities?!

Yes it is a fun little thing and i think you overacted to my post. And misread it.

My bad, then.

It's sometimes difficult to detect tone and humorous intent in text.

Sorry if I offended you.
