I think you got it about right!

Mind you, the plastic is about to collapse under the self-weight of powder!!
Best wishes

Jim

The powders are certainly effective, Ratch and have given the wagon a well used look!

The Corvette is reaching the final stages

I'm just hoping that everything goes together OK

I'm about done weathering the Rudd
Image
Just a coat of Matt to put on it

I'll soon be building an Italeri Douglas B-66B Destroyer (1/72) from the 42nd Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 10th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing based at Chelveston, 1959
Image
The kit has decals for a Chelveston aircraft

It looks like quite a basic kit
Image
I have a bit of reading to do before I start. The kit is marked as a B-66 whereas my Chelveston book says they were RB-66s so I shall try to find out whether there were any external differences between the bomber and reconnaissance variants.

Nice one, Ratch, that looks like a wagon with plenty of hard service under its wheels 8-)

Well done. It looks like it is crying out for a nice overgrown and weed ridden corner on your layout

That Rudd is extremely convincing. I had to look twice to be sure it was a model and not a real one! Sometimes weathering is overdone but not in this case - first class modelling.

Getting started on the RB-66 I was in two minds whether to add crew. In the end I opted for empty.

Very nice 'pit; will much of it be seen do you think?
Best wishes

Probably just the front section Jim
Almost there with the 'vette
Image
The exhausts don't quite marry up with the engine. In hindsight it would've been better to glue the parts when I fitted them, rather than three stages before (as scheduled in the instructions)

Not that it will be seen when she's on her wheels

Nice custom car style paintwork on the Corvette, Ratch and it looks good lined up with its brethren.
