Well here we go with the new year.
The Panzerhaubitz 2000 is now completely assembled and next requires the paintwork to be completed:

I have also got the assembly completed on the Bradley as well, so that will need final painting too:

and finally I managed to get the majority of the turret completed on the Leopard:

Updates to follow

Managed a bit of work over the weekend and completed the paintwork on the Bradley and Panzer 2000, so here they are now complete with decals and light weathering:

Must get back to the Saladin now!

Your AFV's are absolutely amazing.
I've recently started work on my first tank, but it will certainly never measure up to your great works. Right now, that work is on hold until I can set my mind onto how to go about it. I can only wish it turns out half as nice as yours.

I’m sure it will turn out fine, just make sure the wheels and tracks are painted before the rest of the tank is assembled around them.

More excellent small scale AFV work, Steve, that pair really have turned out well. The Pz 2000 is a beast of a SPG!

It certainly is Shaun, much bigger than other AFVs I have in that scale

Got back to some building today and decided to start first off with this conversion of the Airfix Panzer IV:

Image

A good mornings work sees me with it completely assembled and now ready for paint:

This afternoon as I still have no access to my paints I decided to commence this one:

After a couple of hours I had assembled the bridge and some of it's support gear and also got the bogies assembled:

Updates to follow

More progress yesterday with the Bridgelayer construction as I still had no access to paints. All the major parts are now constructed but not before all those pesky little wheels tried my patience to the limit. However they eventually succumbed leaving me at this stage, tracks are just dry fitted at this stage:

ImageImage

May be some paint today as I've now got my modelling area back! :-D

That's looking great, Steve. Ah, the curse of the Airfix Churchill wheels - stays in the memory long after the kit is built :ha:

There is a trick with the Churchill wheels, when they are still on the sprue the wheels and suspension line up and can be stuck one side at a time you then cut of the wheels leaving them stuck on the suspension that is still on the sprue, then repeat with the other wheels.

Is that the old Airfix Leopard?
