So today saw the start of a new year of model making!
First off I started adding the hitch and fuel pipe to the Sherman Crocodile:



Then I started on a post war AVRE Trailer with fascine from S & S Models to put behind my Chieftain AVRE. Essentially its a resin block with white metal wheels and towing frame.
I began by drilling the ends of all the pipes in the fascine:



Then I filled and sanded the resin bubble holes before adding the white metal parts:



I still need to add a little detail here and there but once painted I think it will make a fair representation.
Lastly for today I commenced one of my Christmas presents:



The Tilly is at the point of needing the interior painted before I can continue.



So everything is now drying overnight ready for another session tomorrow with luck.

Off to a good start to the New Year with some interesting builds, Steve. IMHO if it's within the ability of the individual modeller to do it, it's always worth taking the time to drill out the ends of things that are supposed to be hollow - a bit of time spent with the drill can make all the difference to the finished model.

The resin accessories look nice, but why did the Army need so many didgeridoos?

Today I continued with both the AVRE trailer and the Sherman.
I have added detail to both. For the AVRE Trailer I have added rear lights, locker detail to the front along with some handles and a wind down steadying pole:



For the Sherman I have added the Flame gun, an 'A' frame protector for the flame gun, skids above the running wheels, some shackles to the front and also made a start with some stowage from tinfoil:



I have also modified the front mudguards slightly too.
These are both overnight drying before I commence the paintwork.

This morning I have managed yet more building as SWMBO is still working from home so the study is out of bounds.
First off I assembled the motorcycle from the RAF vehicles set:



A nice little kit of three parts, although care has to be taken cutting the handle bars from the runner as you can easily mistake the lamps blackout guard for part of the runner and cut it off, I know I nearly did
Next I set to with the Bedford MWC (I'm making the water tanker version) after an hour or so I had got the main chassis and cab area assembled and ready for paint, along with the tank itself:



Here it is all together, although it's just dry fitted as it will need paint before final assembly:



Finally for today, as if I don't have enough on the go, I started this one:



Another hours or so work saw me to this stage, again ready for paint:



Its going to be a painting day quite soon I think

Maybe it's the Australian Army Marching Band support trailer?

Seriously though, love seeing the Airfix set going together. I was given one as a present a couple of years ago and have yet to find an opportunity to build it.

Today was a painting day.
The RAF Vehicles (Tilly & Bedford) now have their undersides and interiors painted:



Then I moved on to the Sherman Crocodile and got some green paint on it and its tracks fitted:



Then the underside and interior of the M151A2 'Grenada' Mutt got some paint and weathering:



After that I matted the decals down on the M151A2 'TOW' Missile Mutt and weathered it down all over :



Then I put some paint on the AVRE trailer:



Finally I flatted the markings down on the Centaur AA tank, however there's no photo as other than being matt nothing's really changed from a photo point of view.
Tomorrow the RAF vehicles can progress from a build point of view, along with the 'Grenada' Mutt. The others will need the paint work tided up and then I will have to find some markings for the Crocodile and also the AVRE trailer.
The 'TOW' Mutt needs the assembly finished and also the Centaur AA which should hopefully find them completed tomorrow, fingers crossed.
