James' "Shed"

"I'm off for a potter in my shed, love"

Purely metaphorical the shed is our small back room which I have all to myself :grin: We moved into the house 3 1/2 years ago, before which I lived in a pokey flat with poor light and not a lot of room to model, so I still get a buzz about having a whole room albeit small. Workbench, reference and display cabinets all occupy this space from which I can monitor the local cats digging up my garden.

Currently on the bench:

Firefly for this year's SMW CBK Boxart display http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=197;
My very long term Matchbox Wessex HAR2. http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=240;
A little conversion review coming to a magazine near you soon.
and for the very eagle-eyed something sporty on floats that I've been tinkering with when the mood takes me.

Reference, not big on military history so focus in on modelling resources, many SAMs, Warpaints and a lot stuff on X-planes and prototypes :roll: I decided to have a policy of not keeping whole mags just for one article and so these are cut out and stored in binders.

Two cabinets from Argos will probably be full by the end of next year so what then, stock rotation?

Very tidy set up James - more display space needed I fear however!

Cheers.

Resin kits are in the big box with the red lid. Vacforms at the end of the shelf. Everything else is in the loft in boxes.

I love me the Defiant. One of these days I'll get to building mine someday. I think the nose job on my Messer-Spit has got me ready to take that leap

Cheers Dirk.

I've a had a few days away from the bench attending to other important things. Did some filing of resources though that had piled up. After fiddling with the canopies on the Firefly I decided to start on a little project that's been hanging around at the edge of the desk for a few months. Even though I've got plenty of other things to tackle I needed that buzz you get when you start a new build. So the lucky model will be and here's a criptic clue to the kit and the scheme:

Lucifer container holds a tiny insect, sounds like it will be all right!

:mrgreen:
