Re: Marek's even bigger black hole
Finished processing images for AZ model Hurri and Hasegawa Mustang today. By processing I mean focus stacking so no retouching really. I am quite happy with both outcomes.
More in aircraft galleries. Hope you enjoy.

Nicely done. Never see. A Hurri in that scheme before. I rather like it.

Re: Marek's even bigger black hole
The sneaky SU-100 had some work done on it in last three days. Decals and drybrushing, next gloss over before washes and other dirtying.
I still like this one a lot , it builds like Tamiya, just older Tamiya.

Re: Marek's even bigger black hole
David, I have to admit to having no progress on Sword and AZmodel kits since last update on them. Hope to catch up with them this week.

Re: Marek's even bigger black hole
Tonight's update.
Second round of wash is on the SU-100, this time clay/water-based earth and dark dirt. Glossed over for the next phase of drybrushing and spot wash some time this week
And the AZ model 190 Dora is in the paint shop:
Hopefully, I will start making progress on the Provost as well soon.

Re: Marek's even bigger black hole
That S-100 is really looking good so far Marek, and your freehand camo on the Dora looks equally as good
Best wishes

I don't do armour, but that Su-100 is looking more and more realistic to my eye.

Re: Marek's even bigger black hole
First off the press this month. Work is finished (well, I call it a finished product at this stage ) on SU-100. I have committed all sins with its weathering. Following was added since the last post:
- Some parts of the hull received rusty spots as the machine is to portrait vehicle in March/April 1945 near the place I grew up, Gdynia (Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk are almost considered as a one city) so I assumed that winter/spring had its toll on it.
- Middlestone graduated filter (Valleho Middlestone + gloss + thinner = 1 + 5 + 5 roughly) weaker on the upper hull, more layers on the lower hull. I tried to replicate Softscience's buff filter.
- Earth, mud and sand washes, especially heavy on the tracks, wheels etc.
- Leaks and oil splashes added (glossed after the completion of last step.
- Splashed mud simulated with a mixture of white glue, sand additive for paint , dark earth, sand and mud colors and water. The resulting 'something' was sticky and yet viscous enough to be just blown off the brush with an airbrush on 15psi.
- After coat of matt, I did touch up places that were to have either oily or wet streaks with gloss.
I know the kit was first released in 1966 but it got me much more fun-mileage than expected.

Nice SU-100! The wash and filters look fantastic. Interesting technique to apply the splashed mud. Very interesting subject. The photo is also very nice. Very good depth of field. It is clear from front to back!
