Stunning Provost Marek! Nice wash to bring out the details too.

Sorry to hear about the trouble with your paint, but you persevered and it looks great.

To Hataka or not to Hataka; AMX is finished and in the gallery already.

Those AMXs really look the business. Nice work as always Marek. That worn look and dust covered wash and effect is first rate.

Nice one Marek. Great work. I have some Hataka paints I've yet to try. Hope I have better luck with them.

Thank You guys, I have a little Takom marathon going now. Since finishing the AMX-13, I have started the AML-60. Will follow soon with update on the build with pics etc.

After completion of AMX-13/75 I became a local Takom Cult Leader (well, at least judging by a fact I have already got their Leo 1, Fv432, Chieftain, M-47 and AML-90 waiting in line, I think I went slightly of the cliff with Takom). Started this little sexy AML-60 (AML probably stands for Abominable Masochist Lingerie - 60 mm) and this is where I arrived after two hours. I find the part count just right, engineering OK and plastic very forgiving. Just like with AMX (Abominable Masochist Xtraordinaire) this one is straightforward build.

Taking kits are pretty great, eh?

I've got an Chieftain, Luchs, and whippet by them. All fantastic.

I have not seen the AML before. I don't even know what that is. Post-war French?

The AML is a post-war armoured car. Two versions are quite prevalent 60 and 90, 60 with a mortar (60mm) and 90 with a gun. They may be post-war but, at least to me, they can trace their lineage to pre war likes of Panhard AML etc. Leave it to Europeans and they construct a Fiat 126 with a 280 mm gun :). Nevertheless, I am trying to go through the entire French and British lines of armoured vehicles (a quite a long term :)) and Takom just populates my build list with these gems.

I agree about the Takom kits as the quality is excellent and I have got a few to do. The AMX is a stunner as I think the AML-60 will be as well.

Have you tried MRP liqueur paints? I used them on an Airfix Gnat I did and I was really impressed. Easy to use and an excellent hard finish. I know they are liqueur but they are easy to use. MRP have just started to bring out an acrylic range as well and I am hearing good things of them as well.

Another manufacturer that might interest you Marek is Mirror Models. I have just got their 1/35 CMP C15TA Armored Carrier. The pictures on their website don't do it justice as the box is just packed to the lid with plastic, photo etch & resin parts. The instructions come as a PDF file on a CD and its basically a photo build with reference photo's included of the actual vehicle. The detail is just amazing so when I get around to this one I will post it up.

Anyway mate sorry about the rant and keep up the excellent work.

AML going along fairly well. Gunzes used so far for spraying, vallejo for laying down with brush. Will definitely be in Portuguese markings since I am reading Al Venter's "Portugal's Guerrilla Wars in Africa".
