What kit are you using for the Spitfire? Where did you get your Bf110 nose from? What are you going to use for decals?
:ha: can I have your spare bf110 engine as you only need the one?

I have changed my mind about the Daimler-Benz Spitfire colours and have now gone for Yellow/Green & light Blue.

Looks good, what color green did you use? I was hoping to run some ideas past you before you got this far but with Mothers day in all it took me till now to get to the bench. I looks like you nailed what I was leading toward. Check my Spitfire thread later and I'll share with you what I was thinking.

Dirk I'm useing Tamiya Paints I will check the colour numbers when I next get to my workbench

OK now on plan “C” I didn’t like the plain green so I have gone for as splinter pattern with a mottled fuselage.

That is so nice. Seems to match the contrast of the pictures I've seen. Nice work Splash.

Hi Dirk

I used Tamiya Acrylic XF-13 J.A. Green and XF-27 Black Green, I don't know what the number or name of the blue is, it's so old the label is missing from the jar. The yellow is made by Vallejo and called Deep Yellow.

Quick update.

I needed to black out the centre of the German crosses on the wings.

As I had already placed the decals on the a/c I used low tack masking film, I placed it over the decal and cut out the centre area that I was going to spray black with a new blade, being carful not to press to hard. After spraying it lifted off and was used again on the other wing.

I’m happy with the end finish.
