Progress has been good on this little turret, the simple shape has made it a good scratch build project.

I agree, Alan, this CDL turret conversion has great potential for a scratch build project and in fact would probably be a good basis for a first attempt at such. Yours is looking very promising 8-)

It’s surprising what a difference just adding small detail does.

You've got that right, Splash and those details look like they'll be quite an enhancement!

Weathered to match the other hatches and ports they'll take this build up past "11"!

I’m pleased with how this is turning out.

I have removed the round hatches and replaced them with square plastic card and made the drivers periscopes slightly taller as the Airfix originals are a bit small.

That looks a very fine 'scratch' job, Splash. Well done!
I've always thought the Churchill looked prehistorically out of place for the period it was used, compared to its foe. I've also thought, that you as a modeller, are attracted to the more unusual subjects. This certainly makes your posts a favoured 'look-into'.
Again, a well done effort.

That is looking the business, Alan and I really like what you've achieved here. At this rate you will end up with a great model of a Churchill variant that I don't think is commercially available (cue someone proving me wrong :ha: )
