I finished this a few weeks ago but since then have barely had time to look at any kits let alone photograph and upload them.

Los Negros, Admiralty Islands, New Guinea. August 1944. 280760 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) R. T. (Ron) Susans DSO (Korea) DFC, a Flight Commander in No. 79 Squadron RAAF.

Very nice. Have a historical question. Would these be bare metal or high speed silver?

Thanks Jeff. Unfortunately I couldn't find out too much information on this aircraft. However I did see the following mentioned:

"UP-? was A58-231, (MA352). A58-141 was indeed UP-H, but it crashed into the sea on 3 Feb 1944, long before natural metal Spits appeared at No. 79 Sqn."

She's a real beauty Narayan.

To answer Jssel's question, natural metal. 79 Sqn Spitfire Vc aircraft were stripped of paint to save weight.

Great to see this USAAF desert scheme represented!
Is that the new or the old Airfix kit? (I'm guessing 'new' with the wing stiffeners).

cheers,

David
