Re: Narayan's Office
I have to admit to have having owned a PM Spit floatplane, but in the end I chickened out and sold it......not I hasten to add to anyone in Ireland
Best wishes
Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: Narayan's Office
Attaching the floats is no easy task either! They are completely smooth and there is no indication exactly where they should sit. Not easy getting them to stay up when attaching. Obviously the joins will need filling!

Re: Narayan's Office
Thanks Chuck.
The Floatplane is now together and ready for the first go at priming. I suspect the primer will show up plenty of places where more filling / sanding is required.
On a side note I bought my first airbrush recently. This will be a good opportunity to get some practice in.

Thanks. I had a try of the kit at the shop before I bought it. Looking forward to starting to use it regularly.Sir T wrote:Very smart.

Nice work, man. My PM floatplane Spit is leering at me from the ready stash and now that I have finally put the Stranraer behind me, I feel the need to have ago at it too.

Re: Narayan's Office
Moving on. Again.
I just completed a Bandai Star Wars Tie Striker.
This is my first Bandai kit and as I have been told it really did go together well.
In keeping with the Star Wars theme I have started another Bandai kit. A Shoretrooper.
I started this kit about a week ago. I decided I will start with the decals and see where it goes. If they aren't that great then maybe weathering will take care of that. If not I'll paint them on instead.
You'd be forgiven for thinking any Empire soldier would be a nasty piece of work. But I assure you this fella is 'armless...
I've been a bit shoddy in trying to photograph my progress of late. I'll try and do better going forward.

Yep, those Bandai kits are superbly designed and moulded!
The Tie fighter looks fab and the Shoretrooper is coming on nicely. I've not bought any of the figures yet so will be interested to see how he turns out

Although I haven't built one myself, from what I've seen on here those Bandai SW kits look to be very nicely detailed. Great work, Narayan.

Re: Narayan's Office
Greetings!
The Shoretrooper has arms now and is going through a dodgy weathering phase.
In the meantime for a cars group build with IPMS Ireland I am working on this:
This is an old kit. Manufactured in the same year as I was born. You'd be forgiven for thinking that was 1996 but surprisingly it was a little bit before that.
Whilst the kit hasn't been updated since that glorious year the boxing and instructions clearly have.
The kit itself comprises of very few parts. However Mr Gordon really makes his presence known which is pretty much the norm for kits of that era.
You can really give this car any paint job you like. There are also quite a few choices of country for the number plate. Most of which seem to be for countries that wouldn't exactly be known for beaches let alone a beach buggy.
After a wash the kit was sent to the operating theatre where a scalpel was taken to all that flash. Nurse!
