Another paint job almost done, Italeri Mig 29. Using Xtracolor's dedicated Mig 29 enamels on this one. Slows down the process a tad but I didn't have any acrylics to match..Should make decaling easier as they have a great shine to them.

That is a great looking paint job on the MiG-29 Shane. I built the kit myself a fair few years ago.

With the Mig finished I have a few other part started kits that want getting down from the shelf of doom. Top of the list is the old Hasegawa A-10. I have built this kit before., back when I had a fringe and could see my feet when I looked down. I've never done many 3 colour schemes before and this time I'm going to see if I can freehand the Euro-1 scheme with my new H+S Infinity. I have some aftermarket decals just in case the Hase ones don't play nice but they have a sharkmouth and it has to be done so fingers crossed.

Nice work on the Mig-29 Shane. It's a great kit and you've really done it justice 8-)

Finished off the Harrier and now have 2 Hasegawa kits on the go. The Mig 27 has been sitting about unloved and half done for a long while and I started the A-10 a couple of weeks ago. I did the dark green on the undersides freehand. What a nerve-wracking experience that was. It was the first time I'd done it. More practice needed.

The freehand airbrushing looks good to me Shane. I find freehand work is always a bit easier with darker shades as the overspray doesn't stand out as much!!

Oh no! Not the Hasegawa MiG-27. You have revived all the pain of my incomplete example sitting on the Shelf of Doom!
And I built the Airfix A-10 in the same scheme as I see on yours. That was not a bad kit.

cheers,

As we approach the end of the year I decided to do a quick recap of finished builds for 2016. I have a few almost at the finish line but the mojo has dropped with a full workload and lots of running about for Christmas.
12 for the year isn't too bad, not my most productive year but it cleared off a few shelf queens that were gathering dust.
