Just a small update in leiu of pics. the GR3 has been painted and decalled and is now waiting for me to attach the stores and a flat finish , its deffo a 3foot rule on this one. The Panther has had its blue coat and is masked ready for the silver leading edges. The Sea Harrier has had its first coat of DSG and the Skyraider is now waiting for its coat of light gull grey .

However I've reached a point where I can't get upto speed with modelling at the moment ,usually once the paint is on things progress quite quickly . I'm not enjoying the process and I think I should dig out a kit that falls together rather than rounds of sand/fill/sand. This may give me the push along I need.

Good idea. Something simple with an easy paint job. :)

Cheers

Quick update , the Harrier GR3 is done as is the Blue Angels Panther . I hope to get some pics tomorrow when the sun comes out . The Shar is painted and part decaled. However the decals are out of reg but will suffice . The Skyraider is giving me grief , I always have trouble with Xtracrylix light gull grey . Methinks a bosh over with Spray Humbrol 64 will be close enough for government work!
Also been tinkering with an old AMT Darth Vader TIE Advanced. Terrible fit and nasty plastic.
I need to clear the decks and star from fresh . I have an Hasegawa F8 Crusader i may do for the Vietnam GB before I bugger off to Greece .

Shar done, not happy with the decals , left most of the stencils off due to reg issues . The roundels also are not the best but its done , 3ft rule applies again . Skyraider has had anti glare and walkways done , touching up of demarcation lines needed . I 'm just glad to be getting thse finished but i'm not happy with the end results, I've done better .
Dug out the Hasegawa F-8E and the old Airfix F1-11.
try and post some pics later today if the rain holds off to give me decent light.

Looking forward to seeing the Skyraider - one of my favourite Airfix kits for some reason. For what its worth just keep on plugging away that mojo comes and goes.

Ok, nowt done for the past month , mainly due to holidays in the sun plus an aversion to sand fill sand e.t.c.
The Skyraider is kleared and almost ready for decals then sticky out bits to add. Want to get this finished along with the Tie Fighter so i can concentrate on the Herc.

I know what you mean, sanding gets so wearing ;-)

Maybe you should treat yourself to a nice Tamiya kit when these are done

Been tinkering but no pics to show as pc is down at home , will see if i can upload from work. Skyraider is done barring sealing cote of varnish . I'm not gonna weather it because its something i've not done before and don't want to mess up what i've done so far . After all its taken long enough. Besides even these were clean once .
The Tie Advanced just requires wing panels sticking on. What a pig of a kit for something with so few parts . 3ft rule will apply in this instance .
Started on an Italeri F-117A Nighthawk , quick build and easy paint job . Hopefully this should kickstart things again .
