Re: Shane's bench .
Only work on Xwing this week has been the painting of R2-D2 I need to get the pilot sorted before I join everything up. The Spit and Hurri are both Xtracrylix Dark Earth and RAF Dark Green . More work continues on the B-17 for the group build.
Thanks for the interest chaps .

Both Spits have come up nicely Shane. How's that X-Wing coming along?

Great looking warbirds.
I'm a big fan of the X-Wing and look forward to seeing it progress. How's it coming along?

Re: Shane's bench .
Thanks chaps, filled some areas under the S-Foils on the X Wing and got rid of the pegs that lock the wings closed . I'm going to pose it in flight S-Foils in attack position. I hope to start painting the wings this week before joining the fuselage .
Re: Shane's bench .
The Spits look great Shane! I've only built the old one before so I can't really compare them but I did like the finished look of it. Which do you prefer now that you've done both?

No control stick? He must be steering via The Force tm.
I like it. I like the detail painting on the R2 and the little emblem on the helmet.

Re: Shane's bench .
Since starting back at work the modelling juices have ebbed a tad but this week I decided to drag a few more Matchbox kits out and at least make a start . So on the go at the moment - Me 262, A20 Havoc, Hellcat , F4 Corsair and Strikemaster. I will post pics soonish . Work stalled on X and B-wing kits , must crack on with them.
