Nice one, Shane. I remember going to the Queen's Silver Jubilee display at Finningley with my parents - rather scarily that is now 40 years ago

My dad took me, I was 6! I remember sitting on his shoulders with my hands over my ears as the Vulcans scrambled.

Looking awesome, for a kit that is just classic, the result is striking.

Baring the underfuselage fins the decals are done. Just waiting for the microset to work its magic on the upper roundels. The nose cone still need painting and attaching along with the Redtops and pitot/ refueling probes.A quick matt down then on with the undercarriage.

You know you led me a stray, I was trying to curb the buying . Failed.
The mojo is running for now, hopefully for a good while longer.

That Lightning really looks good, Shane and it's great to see the raised panel lines which really add to the classicness 8-) Trying to curb buying and then going to a model show with Craig? is he not the Barter King and therefore duty bound to lead you into temptation whilst failing to deliver your wallet from the evil clutches of the traders? :ha:

Cheers for the kind words, it's good to be back at the bench.
The Lightning is almost done except for the AAMs and a couple of aerials.I think i'll give painting in the canopy chop lines a miss. I also dusted off the Buckeye and got got the camo done. I used Mr Hobby aqueous on this and they are so much easier to spray, no clogging or drying on the tip. I've a few touch ups to do but don't have to remask because these paints are easy to control .
