A New Year dawns and the bench is still closed, can't seem to find the interest to sit down and tinker as yet. Unfortunately it doesn't mean my spending on kits has curtailed. Recently picked up a Sword F3-JM Fury, a Zvezda Mig 29SMT and also ordered the new Airfix Phantom yesterday. I think a clear out of some long term stash members is in order and then see if I can get motivated.

I hope the new arrivals will do the trick and get you back building soon!

Cheers Iggie, I moved the room around back in November, I'm not sure whether its Feng Sui enough . I also misplaced a fine Luftwaffe profiles magazine that I've not seen since around that time and I've searched through all my mags and binders, even the loft. Maybe a portal has opened up in the modelling room and it's snatched it and my mojo.

We all go through this. Who needs a portal as well as a carpet monster?
Pick your favourite subject out of the stash cut plastic!

Thanks for the encouragement... I found my book . Hoorah, it was where I'd looked 3 times previously but wedged in an old Airplane magazine binder. Also found a bit of time to tinker at the desk.Nothing major to shout about and no pics to show but I've a stack of part started kits scattered about and picked the Airfix SHAR FA2 out of the pile. Spent a couple of hours putting together some sub assemblies and painting the innards.

Just to prove I've not given up the glue sniffing.
Some kits from the shelf of doom are getting another fettle. The Buckeye is finally getting it's decals. The other 3 are a Matchbox Me 109E , and there are 2 old Airfix FW190s an F8 and a D9.

That's the old Matchbox kit isn't it? Looks like you are doing great on it and the other contenders.

'Bout time you got something going, Shane, I thought you'd nodded off at the bench or retired or summat  I really like what's there though and also think that Buckeye is looking the business 8-)

Hopefully you'll be mottling that 1/72nd Emil for the desert scheme as old codgers like me have had to scale up to 1/48th in order to be able to do it proper like, eeeh what with me dodgy eyes and shaky hands ;-) :ha:

Thanks all.
Shaun, the 109 is going to be a BoB bird from mid August 40. No mottle. The 190's will both need some mottle of sorts. Had to order a new needle for my airbrush because I'm cack handed and i think I've bent the tip. I was getting a very poor spray pattern with lots of spattering off center.
