I've now painted P-51 in Middle Stone. I had to mix my own, 1:1 Tamiya Desert Sand & Tamiya Dark Yellow.
I thought I'd bought some Lifecolor Middle stone but hadn't.

I've also painted the Olive drab as well.

The Jeep has had some glass fitted to the windscreen which was cut from some transparent packaging. As there is no windsreen with the kit.

Not just yet. I need to finish a couple things and procure me the Kit. I was debating between this kit and the Special Hobby kit. I'm almost 99.9% sure this kit Academy kit) will be the one I get. 8-)

That camo job you looking fantastic. What is the white stuff you are using for the borders?

Its UHU white tack. I get on with it better than Blue Tack, it rolls out easier and seems stickier.
I've seen it used on some of the builds on this forum, thats where I got the idea from.

I've been away on holiday in Majorca last week. 8-)
It rained all week long.....terrific. :frown:
So tonight got a bit done on the P-51

The decals are on and just need sealing. The gloss coat was not very even, but should be OK.
The Jeep is about finished, just a bit of weathering to do and a few bits to put in the trailer.

I've managed to get some more paint on the Grant and the track on one side.

I had no idea that P-51 kit came with such nice markings options. It looks great. I'll have to add one to my stash at some point

They are from a Model Alliance set "WWII commonwealth fighters over north africa & the mediterranean".
It also includes a Martlet,Hurricane,Spit Vb,Kittyhawk,Beaufighter and a Gladiator of 80 Squadron,RAF,Sidi Barrani,Egypt 1940 which looks rather nice.
