Re: Modeller Caves
WOW! and i thought Toby had a lot of boxes! Are they all models awaiting to be completed or are they trophies from past triumphs?!
Also you look like you have some nice models there, do you have somewhere on here where you post more detailed photos of them?

Those are all full boxes of futrue projects. But I do a lot of trading amoungst my local Band of Pirates so the inventory is is a constant state of flux. That raises heck with my spreadsheet inventory.
I go into my LMS and catch myself saying, "Wait, I already have that."
And as cold as it is this winter, the added insulation factor is important.

Wow. That has to be the biggest stash I've seen on UAMF.
Though I did see on ATF a couple of weeks ago, this guy had his entire loft packed with models. Even then, they were spread around in cupboards, bookshelves and pretty much where ever he could find. I think it was ranking into the thousands with all the kits he owned.

There is some order really...
Work in progress (not including cat): on the bench.
Tools and glues: on the bench.
Paints and brushes: on the bench.
Drawers full of tools and paints: on the bench.
Boxes of tools, paints, spares and assorted stuff: on the bench and windowsill above.
Thriving community of carpet monsters, gremlins and miniature wookies: under the bench.
CAT: oi! get off the bench!

Welcome onboard mjatx! That is a very shiny workspace you have there! I see you've alrady got a couple on the go, it would be good to see more of them, have you set up a workbench window?

Re: Modeller Caves
Thanks. The three in-progress models are ones I wasn't able to get paint/decals onto in the mad rush to get the house ready. Now I can focus on those...but of course, I just started a new one today!
I'll set up a workbench window.

Re: Modeller Caves
there's always an excuse to start a new one!
Welcome to the forum, you'll find everyone here is really nice and very helpful. Although be prepared... it's going to make you want to buy more and models, paints and other bits!
You should go say hi to people here http://uamf.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=8, it's a good place to start meeting others. I tend to hang around the work bench windows as i like to see the progression of the models and it's a great place to get advise on your work.
See you around!
