That Mustang is very cool! If you like the look of the Romanian markings the new tool Airfix 109E has a very attractive option http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3697;

Thanks guys!
Stamford, the 109 looks sweet in those markings, definitely something I'd build, been noted in my FUTURE 'to buy list' :-D

The P-51 is now done, drying overnight with a coat of Klear, will take pics tomorrow.
The T-6 is almost done with decals, have a few left plus the frightening cowling decal. I will put that on last. :???:

Now relaxing with black russian and tv. Stay tuned for more tomorrow night, if I make it home early enough.

Here are some pics of the P-51, sorry for the bad quality and bad light.
One day I need to make a photo booth/stand or something. I had one before, but it's long gone in the fireplace...! Cold winters LOL  Thought I didn't need it again. :-D

I just got home, am too tired to work on the Texan. Tomorrow is a busy day, packing for the holiday, going out in the evening. Would be nice to be able to finish it before I leave. Only a few decals left and a Klear coat.

After loads of coffee and some eh... much stronger stuff, the Texan was calling my name.
I put the last decals on, and some touch ups on paint. The cowling decal went on okay, used tons of microsol which has helped alot and it doesn't look bad. I'm quite pleased, don't think I could have done it better allthough it's not perfect, but I'm not looking for perfection so don't really care.
At about 1 am paint should be dry so will put a coat of Klear on, then try to take some decent pictures tomorrow and call it done.

Here they are placed on the shelf, rearranged it all to fit more models. Unforgiving blitz on the Texan, sorry bout that.

Here's a few other Mustangs, 1/72.

Now I'm in the middle of packing for the holiday, quite the chaos around. So no more modelling until the 9th of October.

Wow! Now those are REAL pretty birds!
Lovely work on both...masking the Mustang must have been a killer... the stars are decals or painted?

Nice contrast between the fighting and racing versions of the Mustang! 8-)
quite the chaos around
from mayhem to chaos... :-D

Hope you have a nice holiday!

Those are brilliant Sissel and they look great, more manufacturers should cover civil warbirds on their decal sheets.
Have a very good holiday, will you buy a kit before you return to build as a holiday memento when back home?

The T-6 and the P51 look incredible Sissel!

And I also spy some floaty things! :ha:

Yup, me like floaty thingsies. What you saw a glimpse of was Bismarck 1/570 and German Minesweeper 1/400.
After I finish the destroyer and torpedo boat my next floaty thingie will be HMS Belfast and/or Scharnhorst.

No more kit buying this year, as I have so many exciting ones in my stash; that'd be aircraft, helicopters, cars (mostly am.classics with lots of chrome) and military and civil ships.
Please do bully me madly if I do! :-D

Thanks for the holiday wishes as well. One that will be truly enjoyed and I need it desperately!

Ok, well back from a busy but great fun holiday.
Will continue on the Kriegsmarine boats this weekend, might start something new as I'm sick of them already.
I really want to get some spray cans and start on some of the cars I have. I do have a car to practice spraying on first, that will be nice.

My Airfix Concorde has woken up from it's sleep! I thought it was in hiding, couldn't find it. Been wondering where it's been since I started building again. Seems it was stuck below everything, in the lowest corner.
Why had I not looked there? I thought I had. I know I have! Cause I had to move the models to that room and to that closet when I was building again, strange indeed.

Hope you haven't missed me too much. :-D
