Well the wing join went surprisingly well, so I'll call off my accusation of over-engineering in that case but...
Oh the three piece cowlings! What a fight! Most definitely over-engineers. But got there in the end, if only just.

Yes, those three-piece cowls are really a pain, and only just fit around the engines. Mine fell apart once - all that hard work undone....

They may be challenging (sort of), but you met the challenge, and surpassed it. Feels pretty good, huh? :)

Would it be easier assembling the cowlings before positioning the assembly over the engine (and before the engine is one the wing; like a 'power egg')?

Airfix Fairey Fulmar on the workbench. I've had issues with the demarcation of upper and lower camo colours as the deep panel lines are subject to paint bleed, even using a cocktail stick to try and push the masking tape into the grooves. A lot of touch up work I guess.

Thanks Paul. I've missed the Group. I've been in hospital for a while for an operation for Pancreatic Cancer. Now just able to sit back at the modelling table again :)

Firstly  it's great to have you back among us.

So sorry to hear that it's taken something so serious to get you back to workbench. Wish you a speedy recovery mate!
