Re: Stamfords Shed End Thread
Thanks for the comments guys. Quick pick of the Stuka for closure. Nice quick build just to keep it fun.
For a change I thought I´d do a tracked thingy. This is the Tamiya Hanomag as I´ve always fancied doing a halftrack. Pretty straight forward build most of the parts are wheels and crew! Not sure If I´ll do the crew I´ll probably have a pop at a couple.

Wish I could see the pics Stamford, but Photobucket doesn't allow hot-linking anymore unless you pay a $400/year fee (See this thread). I've been using PostImage as an alternative, seems to work well.

Re: Stamfords Shed End Thread
Hello strangers! Don't know if anybody remembers me but I'm trying to get back into mutilating plastic after a few of the famous life changes.
Anyway I've relocated back to Blighty bought a canal boat and need a hobby for rainy days any suggestions?
At the mo I'm trying to remember what to do with the Airfix mkXII with the Robocop pilot. Got a new airbrush and compressor too but it's wet and rainy so no painty.

Welcome back to blighty
Something very purposeful about the XII, I really should get myself one of those
It's pretty low that photobucket decided to hold our photos to ransomMigrant wrote: ↑July 18th, 2017, 3:34 pm Wish I could see the pics Stamford, but Photobucket doesn't allow hot-linking anymore unless you pay a $400/year fee (See this thread). Welcome back! Long time no hear
Whereabouts on the network are you? We used to be on the GU at Cosgrove (leisure not liveaboard) but never managed to explore enough of the canals really although we loved the bits we did manage to see.
I can't think of what you might take up a a hobby...

Welcome back, as Iggie asks - where are you on the system. I’ve just got back from a 7 week ‘round robin’ to Liverpool, returning via Llangollen.

I'm on the Middlewich branch at the mo. I've been operating out of Swanly Bridge Marina on the Llangollen whilst I've been learning not to hit everything I pass through but I'm cruising now until the winter. Need a few bits fixed at Middlewich next week.

Had to leave almost everything I had behind so I've got a new setup for painting bit different from my old Aztec - I shall see what happens! I undercoated with a rattle can but no more cheating now.

Welcome back !! And with a new toy !
I've got a card model narrow boat calling for attention, best I can do, we don't do actual narrow boats where I am, in fact I see another storm blowing up in the sound right now .

Thanks for the back! Struggling a bit with new chemical romances and the new airbrush but I'm treating this one as a test bed really but it might even get finished!

Few touch ups later I decided to do some more modelling - still on course for a finish.Trying Pledge multisurface polish instead of klear seems to work well enough. The canopy frames are quite distinct so the splodge and toothpick method worked ok. Bit further along but not much!

I'm tempted to use the fuselage band decal but I've never ever done that successfully so I'll wait! I've got to spray the nacelle sky anyway. Getting impatient I suppose can't get the decals on before that.
