Awesome looking Widow, as James mentions the checkered spinners are very impressive.

Hi Folks, I haven't posted for many a year, since some major lifestyle changes at the end of 2012! That said, while not being prolific, I have produced the odd model and started playing around with dioramas. A small selection for your perusal.

Initially I thought you were a new member but it seems you last posted before I joined the forum MoMil! This is an excellent collection of builds. Really great work.

Currently working on the Mark1 144 Mosquito. Having built several from this co;pany in the past and being a fan of the Mosquito, I was really looking forward to the build but........... The first thing is that they did not mold in the strengthening strip on the starboard side, not too much of a problem with a little strip as you can see however when I started on the wings and engine I started to lose the will to live! The fit of the nacelle to the wing required a fair amount of filler and the wings are nowhere near fitting into the slot in the fuselage. Anybody else built this kit and did you have the same problems??

What a superb collection of builds and backgrounds. A modeller with your skills should be able to cope with a few ill fitting parts and still produce a first class eyecatcher IMHO.

I appreciate your compliments and confidence in my skills Lone Modeller but it is frustrating when you, through past experience, expect a reasonable fit and are disappointed. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Hi and welcome back to the fold. Not built the mark 1 mossie but I have built the F-toys one. Don't let the name fool you as it really is a great little kit.

All the best

There was so much filler on the Mossie that I decided to add some more! Mark1 provide a fighter canopy with the kit, I assume that a fighter version will follow soon, so I decide to convert it to a MKXII night fighter. A bomb from the spares box provided the initial shape and then lots of filler to get the contours about right. fairly happy with it now so on with the rest of the build.........
