Thanks for the kick up the bum chaps
David, I'll look out for you while you're down here. Business trip or pleasure? The Lightning pair are slowly progressing, need to get some pics posted. I've got some acrylic rod winging it's way to me now. Going to use that for some kind of stand.
Cheers for the like Celt.

Hard to believe that those landing craft guys are only 1/72! Nicely believable.

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
I'm back. Haven't been anywhere just got caught up in a bit of real life
Where was I up to? My usual spot for kit building was here, at the dining room table, packing everything up and leaving it out of the way until next session
My daughter gets a new desk for Christmas, what to do with he old one? "Dad can use it to build his little models on", said the wife. '"They are not little models." "They are exact scale replicas of full size machines." "Get back in the kitchen!", is what I was thinking. Put the desk in the dining room corner and I now have this
And state of play on Sunday afternoon. A pair of old tool Lightning F.3's
Part of the D-Day Overlord gift set, the coastal battery. More of a playlet, but it's good fun
There's also an Italeri HE 111 under the desk too.

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
Hi Nigel.
Used to be that I also built on the kitchen table, packing everything up after a session. I found it difficult, and limiting.
It took the kids growing up and moving out, before I finally took over a bedroom as my own man-cave. Trouble was, for awhile, they kept coming back.
Now, I think I'm safe in a basement bedroom that I can do what I want in. Makes modelling so much more enjoyable.
Glad to see you have your own little table now. You have some nice projects underway, and some space will make it much easier on you. Looking forward to your progress. Gb

Think about it as your own modelling real estate nobody can evict you from . Good change.

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
I realise how fortunate I am in having my own modelling room in the house Nigel, it makes all the difference being able to leave projects out on the bench without having to tidy up after each session and what have you and also being able to work in the comfort of the house rather than being relegated to a draughty shed or garage! The Lightning pair are coming along very nicely and I am interested to see what your take will be on that old Airfix coastal gun emplacement - I remember receiving that as part of an Airfix Normandy 1944 set way back when.

In between hospital visits and working I've managed to get the civilians from the Waterloo Gift Set finished
Cut the front gate off the farmhouse and set it back into the compound after some research on the net
Failed to even take part in the cargo haulers GB, but I'm hoping to get an Me 109 finished for that GB.
