Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
What Iggie said!
I used a piece of open cell packing foam from a microphone case on my Emil. Just a very small piece held with tweezers and I dabbed away till i got what I wanted.
I dont think there's a right or wrong way to do it, those erks probably used brushes, rags, mop heads and Maggies Drawers to get the job done.

Love that motteling especially in the last pic. Have a look at my post (No.9) in Aviation modelling subject `Airfix new tool 1:72 Me 262` there`s a
pic of my tropical Me 109 that looks similar to your He 111 scheme.

That does look pretty good indeed!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

That is a great looking Emil, Nigel and it's good to see that you have preserved much of the "classicness" of the kit when building it up.

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
Appreciate the comments guys. Thanks very much.
She's all done, and here it is. Had to build up the cockpit sills with some plastic strip as the canopy sat too low. You can just see my work in the pics
I'll take some more tomorrow and put them in the aircraft forum. Had to pick my next victim, and I've gone with…..
Enjoyed my last two Hasegawa kits, so I've gone for another

Great 109 Clash
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
Made a start on the Cougar. Got the cockpit glued in one half and taped up while it sets
I'll go with the boxtop scheme of white and orange, and as it's a good looking shape I'll do it in flight on a stand.
Flying planes need pilots. Here's mine
Plodding along with this too
And yes the nose gun is bent

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
The 111 is looking good and I'm really looking forward to the Cougar.

Nice office

Cougar office looks good, Nigel and so does the Heinkel in its desert scheme. I can't remember when I last built a subject in markings for the Western Desert theatre and there are some interesting schemes.
