Ok bit of me time as she's out spending her hard earned cash in the sales. It's been a bit of a wing day as main wings are on the Rareplanes Meteror, superglued and filled with perfect plastic putty ( love this stuff) not a lot I may add ( more luck than judgement). Good job I'm not a rivet counter as the engines are coming up a few millimetres short, cag handed sanding I think! The Xtrakit Swift on the other hand had filets of plastic card glue into the trenches then filled. Not the most exciting of modelling sessions but at least some done

From a very ropey start with a chunk of the fuselage missing, fashioned from a spare Fw200 fuselage half and Milliput. Totally obscure obscene turrets, replacements Falcon vacs and a nightmare to cut, scratch gun mounts for the turrets, scratch radar antenna, Albion alloys tube for the guns, painted with Hataka acrylics, Extradecal stickers.
I give you my Novo Vickers Wellington.

Seems to be on a roll at the moment so I will offer up the Academy Ju87, was an absolute dream to build, painted with the excellent Hataka acrylic Luftwaffe set, but dear oh dear these are the worst decals I have used in a good long time, would they conform? NO, no matter how much Sol & Set daubed on. (Wish I used aftermarkets now)

Very nice indeed Frankie and there is a strong chance that this kit is very much better than the Matchbox kit of the aircraft I built back in the dark ages! I've heard criticism of Academy's decals on here before. IIRC the cannon were based on 3.7cm FLAK weapons and worked very well in the aerial anti-tank role although they did have an adverse effect on the aircraft's performance, which was not brilliant in any event - not a huge problem on the Eastern Front, where I believe all of these machines were deployed, as the Red Air Force did not have the overwhelming dominance enjoyed by the Allied Air Forces in the West.
