The Harrier looks great, Mav and didn't the centreline bomb sort that pesky seam out nicely?

Today I went against what I said about an unofficial birthday blitz build and got the old Vulcan out.
I'm going for the "Fresh out of the paintshop" look XH558 wore in this pic:

So onto the model.
After many trials and having her time as my fleet "buster" I sanded her smooth:

I'm currently deciding what shade of green to use along side Aggressor Grey.
1st coat applied:

You're almost tempting me to dig out a Vulcan!

1/72 Pioneer 2 Horton HE229 "Flying Wing"

Nice! A simple kit but loads of room to modify it. I enjoyed building the two in my care. My fave aircraft in terms of shape! That Vulcan is coming along nicely. Restos can be challenging but rewarding. And your harrier looks good. I have a feeling you done one or two before!

Got to love the Tin Triangle,I will be following with interest.

Thanks Celt, it appears the Vulcan is a stop/start project as I'll do a little then leave it for a year so this time in 2050 it may just get completed!

I think its time I fired up the old workbench thread!

So what have I got "planned"?
Well I have 5 builds to finish and 2 commission builds to do in the next 10 weeks.

But before they start I have finished 9 builds so for in 2019 which is a record in 4 months for me!

A busy modelling year ahead then, Adam and you've not been standing still in the four months to date! My usual build rate is around 4 to 5 models a year, a total which generally I'm happy with as I have other hobbies and what have you that eat into my time, but I think my personal best for a year is around 10 completions.

Nope I've not stopped moving this year yet hah!
I know what you mean about other Hobbies!
I'm a massive planespotter(both enthusiasm and physical size *cough*belly*cough*)
In July the family always spends atleast 3 days(this year 4) at the Royal International Air Tattoo and that is very taxing on energy aswell as various days at Heathrow, Manchester and RAF Lakenheath/RAF Mildenhall/RAF Coningsby and until the Tonka retired RAF Marham.
Add to that various Sun holidays we go on and days out it can get quite difficult to get much time at the bench but what does help is now Sal is into it we can spend time together whilst doing a build which makes things so much easier!

So here is what I started with a few days ago:

A lot going on there Adam,how did you find the old Heller 2 seater? go together well? Are those ferry tips you have added to the GR1? If so is it going to be the transatlantic air race bird?

XV741 "Racer Harrier" is what im modelling the Fujimi GR.1 as, im going to be adding the refueling probe soon.
I've actually used the ferry tips that were molded onto another Heller Bobcat twinstick in the stash which actually was a joy to build, the locating fins are very thick but do there job very nicely, the cockpit is very basic but that doesnt bother me.
All in all a very good kit!
I changed the tail to a shorter one using the base of the bobcat and the top of a GR.3 tail that was in the spares box.

Im trying to get them to the same stage as the other 3 so that there all ready for paint at once.
So I installed/painted the cockpot and plugged the nose section onto the GR.9.

Im weird as I like to give my Harriers code names as Im building them.
Can anyone guess why I call this GR.7 Wet Harrier?
