Thanks chaps. Back from the west of England and now have finished painting the fuselage halves.

I have measured and marked for the ribbing on the top wing. I used 1mm masking tape and have varnished and applied a white primer on top. I will secure with coats of gloss varnish.

Next will be the very tricky cutting and measuring of the lozenge decals. Measure ten time and cut once I think is the way forward here.

Interesting stuff. I've only used lozenge once and found it quite tricky. Is that Model Craft masking tape per chance? I've recently been using some of their 2mm tape and have found it very satisfactory, certainly as good as the Tamiya tape I normally use.

Great work Toby - that ribbing effect looks great.

Nice work on the tape; I'm going to have to learn this technique ready for the Camel GB!
Best wishes

Had a break for a few days and now back on it with the fuselage closed up and most of the interior of the cockpit completed.

Very nicely done Toby. I hope you have a great trip, I've yet to do a tour of WW I sites and have so far visited only Normandy and the Ardennes.

Beautiful Toby. Such great work on the interior and the wood effect. I also like the tape for the wing ribs. Does it stay down hard after varnish? Do you think that it would be a good technique in 1/72 scale or would it be too think?

Looking forward to your progress. Have a good time on your tour.

Thanks all. The battlefield tour was very moving and I can recommend Leger who organised it.
PGAS, yes I think it may be too thick. I does stay on but once the lozenge goes on it won't be an issue.
