More rigging continues well. The bit I'm dreading doing,as I've already cocked it up twice, are the cross braces above the nose as it's not a regular X but one where the centre is a lot higher to clear the machine guns. I'll probably use a non flexible line for the top and an elastic one for the bottom to pull the centre into position. Well that's the plan.

That's looking really good so far! I'm deeply impressed. The cross braces sound rather fiddly - good luck!

...what is already done looks very good. As Blueberry says, the centre brace sounds a fiddly one...

Looking good! :)

I have the same "No modelling when tired" rule and also broke it last night. The camo on the Spitfire is now a bit "artistic" :)

:). Also don't try modelling when wearing beer goggles. Not sure which one is worse?
Fortunately I'm sitting in my local so nowhere near any kits whatsoever.

Depending on what I'm about to do on the workbench, alcohol will indeed be handy. A double Cognac sure steadies the hand doing canopy frames.

Happy to see the rigging goes smooth! :)

Jeez, rigging is hard - keep at it Toby, looking good so far. I usually finish the modelling before having a beer as what I laughingly refer to as my brain soon goes to jelly when confronted by alcohol :ha:

Checked the centre rigging on the web, and it looks like the joint had a small bullet holding the wires together. Maybe you can do the top 'V' out of wire, and then run a flexible line over it for the bottom 'V', and keep a small drop of CA at the joint? (my 2 cents! )
