Re: Toby's table top turmoil
Holes now drilled and I've looped thread through them to stop them getting blocked up when I do the spraying. Still debating what colour to use for the top surfaces as there's quite a few pictures of colours varying from green to brown. Hey ho.

I looks like it's coming together well. What size drill bit did you use? I ask as i'm interested in how thick your rigging is. I have just got some EZ Line but it's the 0.3 gauge and i'm worried that it may be too thin to look any good for rigging.

Re: Toby's table top turmoil
interesting... so my 0.3mm rigging may be ok after all. I'll have to test it

Oh dear. On trying to add a green stripe I have gone and buggered up the red ones
I think this will become a kit for practising rigging.

Bad luck, Toby. But eh.. can't you just repaint it?
Had a kit recently where 'everything' went wrong in the end, Roden 1/48 Gladiator. A plane great for rigging practice.
I agree with Mr. Idle, look on the bright side! Ah, I love that movie!

Re: Toby's table top turmoil
I've attempted to touch it up but as can be seen here it isn't that good and this is the better side. Now for the fun of marrying up the wings.
I'm going to use some Mr Surfacer to cover the bottom of the braces as filling and sanding will be out of the question due to access. The trouble I find with Mr Surfacer is that using a brush tends to render it fit for nothing afterwards.

Top wing on. Went better than I could have hoped. Now for the rigging. To paraphrase Captain Oates "I am just going upstairs and may be some time"

I never knew Kings Lynn Model Shop existed. Next time I go to Sunny Hunny I'll stop off and have pop in.
