Nice finish on the Bulldog, and the Seasprite is, so I believe, a nice kit to build.

Re: Titan's Airfix Only 2014 Table Top
Thanks Nigel and Asoka...much appreciated.
I'll post these sprue shots of the kit, there are a few sink marks and ejector pin marks on the kit but thankfully most of them will be hidden.
The landing gear covers in the open position will need some filler also.
The crew will not be used but they seem to be from two different moldings.
The decals are looking a bit iffy but I have thought that before with some old kit decals and they have been absolutely fine to use.
Although the rivet detail is not bad I will take them back a touch.
The sprue with the windows on it is actually very clear but distorted the side windows especially are thick.
There certainly is quite a bit of plastic in the box.
Overall this looks to be a nice looking kit, ideal for an OOB build and photos of the completed model on the net seem to show this.
Regards
Mark

First rate job with the Bulldog Mark, that is a cracking looking model. I've never built the Seasprite but have read good things about the kit. I would agree with your assessment though - those olde decals look a bit iffy and I'd have those rivets off as well, although that's just personal taste of course
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: Titan's Airfix Only 2014 Table Top
Thanks guys.
Unfortunately work has scuppered my blitz for this weekend, so I am glad I stuck a TBC in the title but what it has allowed me to do is get onto this build sooner.
I've painted the interior, what detail is there is not too bad and besides not that much is going to been seen with any clarity once the fuselage halves are joined together especially the rear section so I have only added some Tamiya tape seatbelts and will leave it at that, the rest is just a bit of detail painting and a black wash.
The dry fit of the fuselage halves with the cockpit and upper console in situ is very good indeed so I can't envisage any problems when it comes to gluing them together.
Regards
Mark

Nice detail work Mark, I think your building most of my stash pile! At least I know what to expect now.

Re: Titan's Airfix Only 2014 Table Top
Thanks Shane and you'll enjoy putting this one together as all parts fit exceptionally well and yes you will need to use a bit a filler here and there but then this isn't a new kit..... I'm quite impressed with it actually.
My idea for this year was to build some of the old kits from my stash that I have never built before ...well most of them anyway( chosen by some members on this forum) and from the ones I have built so far I have to say that they have all been above my expectation...so I am hoping that the rest I have got planned will be just as good.
I have not had the chance to post progress piccys up as I have been a tad busy at work but I have still been working on it and taking photos so .......
Painted the exhaust before inserting them into the housing as it will be easier to mask later on.
Some Mr surfacer around the housing join.
The interior glued into place .....very good fit. Windows also added which were coated with klear first and then glued into place using Plastic weld which a friend told me to use on the windows as it didn't react with the clear plastic once dipped in klear....I was a bit dubious at first because if you have used plastic weld before then you know what mess it can make if you get it were it is not supposed to go.....but it worked, no mess or hazing and those windows won't be coming out in a hurry.
The fuselage halves were glued together and the engine housing added, a small amount of white putty was used at the housing/fuselage join as there was a slight gap there.
The windows were also masked.
The canopy was tinted with Tamiya clear green diluted with some klear and then brush painted on the inside of it. It was then masked.
I gave the rivets a final sanding at this stage also.
The doors were tested and these are a very good fit either in the open or closed position so I will have the option later in the build as to which I will choose.
The undercarriage bays were also added and a touch of filler was used around the rear aerial housing.
So far so good and no problems encountered.

Smashing progress Mark. Loving it.

Looks very nice. The red bars on the national insignia are whaaaaaaay out of register, and I'd be a bit careful with any stencil or warning signs with red in them. My Airfix Skyhawk had the same problem and I had to replace everything.
Cheers
