Thanks Stuart and Toby it's good to be back at the bench.

I couldn't post yesterday but I tightened up the camo a bit and added the cans, aerial and the undercarriage, thankfully there was enough weight in the nose for it not to tail sit.

Today I added a whip aerial, yellow leading edge bands.

Decals next and then a touch of weathering and that should be this one finished which to be honest didn't surprise me as this is such an easy build.

Lovely bit of freehand camo painting Mark, that is shaping up to be a great looking Meatbox 8-)

What a beutiful paint!
Sometimes the talent consists exactly in that: try five dozen times when others stop at three dozen...! (F.Labelle)
I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......

Thanks guys.

I have after 6 days finished the begger......which was what I wanted to ease me back into building again.
I did actually go around and tighten the camo lines up a bit Shaun using some sausage shaped white tac on the worst offenders.
The roundels were a bit OOR so I painted around them with the appropriately thinned camo colour which worked very well indeed.
I think it looks better with the raised detail sanded off although you could argue that it would look even better with scribed detail used instead but this for me would have to be for another time as I just wanted this done quickly to get my eye back in...  :-D :-D .

Next up will most probably be this .....

I will pootle along with this one as I want to stick a vac canopy on it so a quick build this will not be, I also have the Monogram GB starting soon so I will be jumping between the two.

Handsome Meteor, well done. What a classic 1940s shape.

Nice Meteor Mark, I enjoyed building mine the other year. Good to see you back again- again. On a r/c note I've bought my lad a quadcopter for Xmas and have been giving it a Dad test! Has a camera on board so close your curtains .

Thank you all for the comments glad you like the Meteor.
Unfortunately the kingfisher smilzo_mm will be put back a bit as I just have to build this beauty...

I've recently obtained a couple of these kits and when I opened the box on one of them I knew it was going straight onto the bench.

I started this a couple of days ago but work stopped me from posting Blah blah blah... so here is a condensed version of where I am with it.

The exhausts have been drilled out.
Image

It's going to be built as 177 depicted on the box art and it will have both wings folded.

The fit is truly excellent with just a tad of filler being used here and there.
