Hi Ian. Glad you like the thread.

My daylight lamp came from the Craftlight Company Ltd. They have a stand at Telford and that's where Mrs Dazzled bought mine in 2011. They have a website and this is the relevant page....

http://www.craftlights.co.uk/acatalog/L ... Lamps.html

Mine is the one with the 5" x 4" aspheric magnifying lens. I can recommend buying one as it's a very effective light that floods the workbench and the magnifier is excellent.

It's even better if you can get one as a present. :)

Hi Darryl. Thanks for the tour. I really like your work area. Making the mostest of space available. That is what modelers do. Great projects doing down the line also. The Revell Zero with frameable box art takes me back.

I'm getting the hang of using my mobile for pictures now. I'm still looking forward to getting my camera working again but this'll do for now.

Today's bench work was dominated by 2 things. A quick fix.

Image

A 1/450th La Reale de France war galley that I built earlier this year. the rigging suffered a bit of damage while sitting in the cabinet. Al parties in the house deny touching it but, to paraphrase Christine Keeler, "they would say that, wouldn't they!". It was soon fixed with some superglue and my helpful daughter on the activator spray. And this time she managed to get it on the model and not in my face.

Otherwise, it's been a bit more work on the Swordfish.

All the decals are on (not shown in the photo) and everything is painted.

When it's all dry I'll be doing a bit of rigging.

That's a nice galley. You don't see many of those built! Glad you got all the flags blowing the right way!

Yes, but the sails are billowing in opposite directions. Can't do anything about it, it's the way it was designed by Heller, the original manufacturer.

It is quite nice though and although it's very small it provided great satisfaction. ;-)

Groan!
Fear whatever it's worth, you are.

Dazzled, that's a great looking 'little' galley! I want more pics of it!
I must have missed that build, or did you hide it from us?

Yes Sissel, I'm afraid it's one that I didn't post. built as a quick finish, although it didn't turn out that way, in 2013.

As you've asked, here are some pictures.

There you go. :)

It's a nice little kit actually. The only real hassle is having to clean the mould line off all those oars and, seeing as they are all one piece, not snapping any off in the process.

That sure is a neat little floatie.
Cleaning small long pieces is difficult, have had many of those snap in two. The oars look fine to me, so you've done a great job with the clean up.
Thanks for showing the pics. :)
