Plan B had mixed results.

Most of the parts came up quite well with a bit of Plastikote.



Of course, there's always one...

This is the clutch cover after I'd stripped it for the third time.



I've given it a polish and a couple of coats of grey primer.



I'll give it overnight to dry and then it'll be buffed up with micromesh ready for another attempt at a shiny coating.

Right now my bench is full of bike bits.



Also, as a bit of "relief", I did a little more to the Italeri Spitfire VB trop.



Obviously I've applied a "little" filler to the model

I also attached the pilots door, radiator and oil cooler intakes...



....plus the wingtips and the rudder which......



is a delightful fit

It's a shame about the fit as the model has some beautiful detail. It's going to be a test to see how much I can maintain.

I think I've been neglecting this thread rather.

Anyhow, here's the latest news from the Den.

The 'orrible Italeri Spitfire and the not 'orrible but fighting me Airfix Typhoon have been put aside for the moment. First reason is that I was getting very enamoured with the Tamiya Katana I was building.

And it got finished



And I am, I have to admit, quite pleased with it

So, are the Spit and Tiffie back on the bench?

Well, no. Not because of a lack of motivation in wanting to progress them but for a rather more practical reason.

My cramped little den is full of Mig-21.



And this isn't all of it! I have to keep a fair amount to one side.

So, for the time being, it seems, the big Mig is going to dominate the Den.

Of course, the modelling tray may well be another matter....

That's a nice finish on the Katana. I have that Italeri Spit, I had heard it was a bit hit and miss but never realised how much so.

I've never built an Italeri Spitfire either. I keep on hearing horror stories like this

I have managed a KP Spitfire, and that's as low as I'm getting!

That's an Eduard 1/48th Mig-21PFM. It was an anniversary present from Mrs Dazzled

One of these days, I must add one of these Eduard 21s to my stash.
(Of course I laboured over the OEZ kit before the Eduard one came out).

I can highly recommend the Eduard kits.

There are a LOT of fiddly little bits though.



The Laminate Floor Goblin (cousin of the Carpet Monster) hasn't had any yet but I have a feeling that it's only a matter of time.

Not by much David. There's an awful lot of very small plastic details and the etch has alternative styrene bits that need painting.

The Den is still full of Mig.



But it is a little more progressed now.
