That snow looks very realistic, and you have airbrushed the shadows to perfection! Very nice! 8-)

And after no bench time for several days, I seized the opportunity to do the masking and painting on Keith Park's Hurricane.

The masking of the OK went okay!
It was a bit nerve wracking levering the masks off with a sharp blade. They conformed to the surface very well, even over the corrugated rear fuselage.

As said by Ernie, tidy!

I've noticed everyone has a different way to paint hurricanes+spitfires. Mine would probably have orange-brown with dark green as the scheme.

And some decals on. The roundels are from an Xtradecal Spitfire sheet, the stencils from the kit sheet.

No tail flashes yet, I did put some on, but didn't like the colour match with the roundel blue. So they were taken off again!

Some decals on the Buffalo tonight (difficult to put on as he will keep moving and the long hair gets in the way  )

The Starfighter Decals are utterly delightful to put on. :)

I hate it when my varnish does that too. How long did it take to shave?

I'm picking up the Starfighter resin boost set and the decal sheet for the Hawk P-6. After hearing such praise from people. Including you.

Excellent work Andrew - have I understood correctly that the KP Hurricane fuselage markings are masked and painted then (sorry sir, I've been asleep at the back!). I take it that the Buffalo (four legged) helps to keep the lawn pretty short then
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

And finished decalling both Hurricane and Buffalo

But only after shovelling 15 cm of heavy snow off the drive  and setting some revision exercises for my students.

There was even time to paint the Hurricane exhausts

Image

and paint the front of the Buffalo prop, the exhausts and retouch the green on the decals.

A much harder Sunday than mine that's for sure, although I did have to mow the lawn  Great work, the Buffalo looks very smart and I'm well impressed with those masked and painted fuselage codes on the Hurricane! It's also good to see the Alpha is still on the go and the vac canopy will hopefully be a great improvement.

What are these "lawns" and "mowing" of which you speak?

It's not getting easier. David just had a "little accident" in the bathroom...
Well, more like a buffalo after some ale and a vindaloo actually.
