TeeELLs 2022 tribulations

Post by TeeELL »

Having looked at the 2022 builds populating Workbench Window, I thought I would see if I actually built anything myself? It seems that I did, but not over much:

The Hawks are from a couple of themed GBs. I have flown all those modelled, but still have a few schemes to do.

I seemed to embrace AFVs a bit this year:

I did a early ‘blitz’, but I did cheat the system a bit as the item I chose was virtually ‘snap together’:

This end of the year saw me throw together a Swift for my ATC Squadron and an Invader for ‘my’ GB

Over and above all that, I’ve spent rather too much time creating 3D printed enhancements for models. My parts for the old Heller/Airfix Javelin (in FAW9 boxing) have gone down well, with modellers as far apart as USA and NZ requesting them. The parts for the Scammell TT have also proven a success, although nationally rather than internationally.
For my own models, I produced improved parts for the Matchbox M7 ‘Priest’ and continue to create ‘bits’ for my Hucks’ Starter conversion.

Excellent work Tony, that's not a bad year at all.

Regardless of the distractions that’s a pretty good show.

That's a really great collection of builds for the year, Tony and well done with your 3-D sideline.

I make that 14 for the year, and all of them crackers so that's a good year in anyone's book!
Best wishes

Thanks everyone. 14 you say Jim, I had to go back and count! I am really surprised tbh, I rather thought I had been a bit idle, having been side tracked with the 3D stuff. I guess that sometime in 2023 I actually need to build a Javelin with all my printed mods.
