Good to see you back in business with some pics Stuart. The flash is a little strong on the first two perhaps but the pic of the Cobra looks better. Keep fiddling with it. Ooh, that sounds a bit dodgy doesn't it
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

The flash was a bit strong, I need to dial it down a bit you live and learn.

Good looking models Stuart. As for the pictures, it's all about the light.
I posted a few hints here.

Ahhhh it's all about the light... that takes me back, before I got back into modelling my passion was 35mm photography -until I got a DSLR which killed my interest. I must dust off my old gear again and get some film.
I agree with everything you say there 100% and in my defence I took the pics with a camera phone, at 11:00 in the evening in a dark and dingey kitchen but thanks for the tips ! Nice to read a bit of photog stuff again - it's amazing how quickly you forget..
See ya - and regards
Stuart

Re: Stuart’s ‘All New’ Backseat Blunders II
So an update is needed. The 109 is on the wip pile for a mo, as I felt the need to build this...
This my revell supercobra what I am building in the aviation thread.
Next up is my 1st finish of 2014 - the Airfix Tornado F.3..
I'll take some better pics when I get the chance, and it may well get a satin coat at some point but for now I'm calling it done - not my best build but its a finish! Woohoo

Congrats on your first finish of the year Stuart and it looks good to me, I do like a nice Tornado. That Cobra looks good too. All in all, a pretty good start to the year I'd say (we'll ignore the fact that's it's nearly the end of April ).

Actually my build rate has never been high - I've been at this moddelling thing for about 4 years and this is only my 11th completed model. I have a few more that're quite advanced in wip though - I think I might finish my P-51 next.

Re: Stuart’s ‘All New’ Backseat Blunders II
While I'm waiting for my bread to finish, I thought I'd pull my next project off the wip shelf - My Tamiya 1/48 P-51D Mustang whiffer I'm building as a pressie for my wife.
Although it doesn't look like it's moved on from my last thread, I have in fact re-sprayed the wing leading edges and the bottom of the fuse after sorting out and re-scribing some poor seam work. It's not 100% but I'm much happier with it.
