Stuart’s ‘All New’ Backseat Blunders II
Re: Stuart’s ‘All New’ Backseat Blunders II
Great looking Corsair Stuart. I really like the yellow and dark blue colour scheme. Like a dangerous wasp or bee.

Thanks Ron - I don't think there's such a thing as a bad looking lightning.ronbow wrote:Love the Lightning in camouflage, I wish I had done mine like that instead of silver.
I am thinking about doing one in polished ally or even Chrome.

Thanks Paul! I think it's safe to say a ground attack Corsair was dangerous!PGAS wrote:Great looking Corsair Stuart. I really like the yellow and dark blue colour scheme. Like a dangerous wasp or bee.

Very impressed with your blog!
Wordpress was recommended to me some years ago, but I never got stuck in. Now I am retired I have been tossing up a Facebook page or something. Your solution looks very promising.
That Airfix F-16 looks quite reasonable - actually the first time I have seen the sprues. (A long time ago I did build the old Mathcbox kit seen on your blog as a Dutch 2-seater).
cheers,
David

Thanks David - I can recommend wordpress if you fancy doing some stuff like this. Funny but I could never get on with facebook.skypirate wrote:Very impressed with your blog!

The Airfix is certainly more refined/detailed than the MB kit, but that brings its own problems. The seam work is going to be a bloody nightmare, where as the MB kit was really easy thanks to the lack of panel lines.

Nice blog Stu.
Will you be going to the Milton Keynes show on the 23rd? The Cold War SIG table could always use some new models.

Both the Hawk and the Corsair look good from where I'm sitting Stuart. As does your blog, which I agree is written in a nice easy reading style and with good clear photos.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

I hope I can make it to MK, I'd certainly love to meet everybody, but it's completely dependant on how things are at home and how good or bad my son is - We'll have to wait and see. Autism sucks.

Re: Stuart’s ‘All New’ Backseat Blunders II
The MB Hawk is almost complete - just the final satin coat, nose light and probe to fit, and the intakes to touch up. Maybe a light panel wash.
I can't say as I've enjoyed this build much - but it's looking better than I thought it would. There's nothing wrong with the kit, I've just struggled to get into it.
At least I'll finally have a green\grey Hawk on the Shelf. I need to do a Red, white and blue trainer next.
Cheer

That looks great Stuart; the grey/green scheme suits it very well indeed
Best wishes

Thanks Iggie - Yes it's always been my favourite scheme on the Hawks, mind you - anything looks good in RAF wrap-around camo!

Nice one Stuart. The wrap around scheme does look good on the Hawk but then again I think most schemes do, it is such a pretty little jet IMHO.
