Thanks for posting up Darryl, looks like a good show again and I hope you all enjoyed it. On a personal level, many, many thanks to you, Al and whoever else managed to take models to populate the CBK SIG tables. Sorry I couldn't be there with you.

I've had another look through, and the USS Wasp 'Best in Show' is awesome....I have Iwo Jima from the same series in the stash, and I can tell you now, I ain't going to be getting anywhere near that standard
I also like the Mig (?) posed over the blurred pyramids; very effective

Re: Pictures from Cosford Show 2016
Great pics, cheers.
Made the trip yesterday with Greg, Craig and Paul. A great show with the benefit of the real exhibits also. As always so much to see and so little time. Missed out on the Comp area as they were judging when I passed. Good to catch up with Al on the Revell stand and also Darryl in passing. Managed to restrict my purchases to just 3 kits plus a few materials.

Nice set of photos. That carrier on competition table is an awesome piece of work. The Nimitz in 1/350 you photographed on Romsey table was built by Richard Stewart who has spent the last 4-5 years on it, and this was I think, its first "outing"

Re: Pictures from Cosford Show 2016
Sorry, I've been a victim of bloody Windows 10 crow-barring it's way onto my PC in spite of my attempts top avoid it as I was quite happy with Windows 7. As such many of my dafaults have been lost and when I went to include my photos in a post here on Sunday night I was told that they were all too big and needed re-sizing. I will do that eventually but first I'll just thank everyone for their support on the both the CBK and Revell SIG tables on Sunday.
Good to catch up with everyone again. I managed to spend some time behind both tables. CBK was a bit of a greatest hits from me with some quality at the other end of the table courtesy of Darryl. The irony of the day is that I only took the old Airfix SRN-4 hovercraft box art diorama from a few years back as I new it would take up quite a bit of space and hence avoid any large embarrassing gaps, but this turned out to be the star 'draw' exhibit and I was even called across from the Revell table on a couple of occasions to reminisce with punters on riding in one of them (I only ever did once = once too often for my liking).
I also had great support on the Revell SIG table - more than covered with some of the overflow on boxes behind. John Irwing was my main man there with contributions from Peebeep (Paul), Darryl, Tom Weir (in absentia via ColinM), TimJ, IanW (congrats on the competition win) Shane and Johni044 himself of course. Sorry if I've missed anyone, please let me know as I'd like to add your names as well - it was all a bit of a blur on the day with so many models turning up - fortunately we'll have twice the space at Telford.
I've requested tables for CBK and Revell SIG at Farnborough on Sat 24th Sept so hopefully we can do it all again then ~(and celebrate my birthday on that day when I will edge technically closer to 60 than 50 ). I'll add my photos to this thread as and when I re-size them.
Cheers
Al.
EDIT: re-sized photos...
Overview of the CBK table from either end - Darryl was agjacent with the Cold War table and I was also diametrically opposite with the Revell Modelling SIG - which was nice!
The lighting is never brilliant in the hangars but the ambiance of the place and all the 1:1 hardware around makes up for that I think, and the tables looed much better for the 3 minutes when the sun broke the cloud cover.
Airfix 1:144 BHC SRN-4 Hovercraft
Matchbox 1:12 Suzuki RGA500 and rider (Barry Sheene)
An impressive 1:1 Lightning hanging over us like the Sword of Damocles
I tried to make the railway area look "busy" as technical accuracy was not going to happen - I don't think anyone criticised it for this and it did seem to attract it's share of attention - usually when I was over on the Revell table - how far away are viable clones again?!
Airfix 1:12 The Black Prince - a real classic.
Darryl's gorgeous Matchbox 1:12 Vincent Black Shadow. I also had some of his excellent motorcycles on the Revell table.
Again, many thanks to those who supported all three tables.
I only spent £20.00 with Vince on a Revell 1:48 CH53-GA after seeing John's made up one on our Revell table and falling in love with it - hope mine comes out half as well.

Some terrific pictures Al, much better than the ones I took. And I sympathise fully about Windows 10. It's a nightmare. It was good to see you again though and here's to the next show

Quite a stunning set of models with great photos to show them. They produce the feelings of awe, appreciation and depression in equal measure.
