ScaleModel World 2014 Chat
Never too early to start....
One of the things I was able to get done this weekend was to provisionally book my hotel room for SMW 2014. To share the fruits of my labour, I should let you know that both the International and the Holiday Inn are fully booked for SMW weekend. I was able to get a room at the Premier Inn, which is right next to the train station. Rooms are still available (as of 2/16) with or without breakfast included at the Beefeater restaurant attached to the hotel. Here's a link to the hotel's website:
http://www.premierinn.com/en/checkHotel ... rd-central;
There are also rooms at the Park Inn (as of 2/16), by the shopping centre, but they were about the same price and didn't include breakfast.

Both are a relatively short walk from the convention centre, although I'm thinking taxi if it's raining....

Paul's going to a different event -- most of us go to ScaleModelWorld, to buy things, but Paul is going to SaleModelworld. He'll be disposing of his stash, I guess...

Re: ScaleModel World 2014 Chat
I can see how you would get confused, SaleModelworld would be in a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, in Greater Manchester, as opposed to ScaleModelWorld in the International Convention Centre in Telford, in Shropshire.
Great news that you are coming over again Paul, and thanks for the heads up on the hotels - I've just reserved a room for Carrie and me at the Park Inn - there weren't many left as you say!
Cheers
Al.
